Technology in Beekeeping
Some beekeeping technologies, such as moveable frames, have been around for many decades, but there are many new advances in beekeeping that have just come about recently. This presentation covers some of these newer technologies, including various sensors that can be placed in and around hives to monitor the conditions of those hives. Readings from these sensors can tell some fascinating stories.

Dean's a hobbyist beekeeper from Henrietta, NY, and a senior lecturer in the School of Information at Rochester Institute of Technology, teaching application development and database courses. In recent years, he's brough award-winning teaching innovations into the classroom, such as collaborating with the RIT Beekeeping Club to allow students in database courses to use real-world data from collected from beehives
